The big news from this year, obviously, is that we got married in early October. That overshadows pretty much everything else that happened to us! It was a lovely, incredible experience, and we're still sort of stunned that it went off every bit as well as we could have dreamed. We were so happy to have the support and love of those who were there with us as well as those who sent their well-wishes from afar.
What else happened this year?
Sarah started a new job as Executive Editor at LIVESTRONG.com, building a brand-new editorial team from scratch here in New York City and revitalizing the site from top to bottom. She also started mentoring with Girls Write Now, a program that pairs women working in media and publishing with high school girls in the city.
David celebrated his second year working as a software developer at Insight Catastrophe Group this fall. He also helps run the Papers We Love meetup group in New York and its annual conference in St. Louis.
We did manage to squeeze in a few trips this year — most notably for friends' weddings in Memphis, Tennessee, and Madison, Wisconsin. Sarah also traveled to Los Angeles for a number of work trips, taking David along for the most recent one in December to wear him as arm candy at her company's holiday party.
We still live in New York City and Cricket is still indisputably the cutest cat in the universe. As of this writing, our daily New York Times crossword streak is 484 days strong.
We hope you're doing well and send along our best wishes for this holiday season and the year to come.
